Ice-Cream for Her and for Him

0 · May 27, 2017 · Leave a Comment

Let’s start with a little ice-cream story today…

Recently we had wonderful time with our big family in Saint Louis. By the end of the fun day full of outside activities with kids we all decided to get some ice-cream. When kids and other family members were looking for the most delicious ones, my husband and I tried to find the sugar and diary-free options. I know, so boring)) Coconut milk ice-cream was the best option at that night. Our cravings for creaminess were totally satisfied)). But ingredients were still so far from being perfect. And it is not about being a bore, it is all about how I felt after we ate a few bites of it.

That little story inspired me to experiment in the kitchen.

Here are our favorite and easy vegan ice-cream ideas.

Banana-Raspberry For Her

Ingredients:

1,5 organic bananas

1 cup organic raspberries (I used frozen)

20 g. of 70% dark chocolate

honey (optional)

 Instructions:

  1. Place the frozen bananas in a food processor, or blender on a low to medium speed, and chop a bit.
  2. At this point add raspberries and blend all together.
  3. Finish processing the ice cream until creamy and smooth.
  4. Serve it or put to the freezer until it solid. Then scoop and enjoy!
  5. For the decoration grind a piece of dark chocolate and sprinkle on the top. You can pour some honey as well if the ice cream is not sweet enough for you.
  6. Store nice cream sealed in the freezer for a few weeks.

Chocolate with Salted Caramel  Sauce For Him

Ingredients:

1,5 organic bananas

1 tbsp almond butter (optional, but gives extra creaminess)

2 tbsp organic cacao powder

Salty Caramel Sauce

1 tbsp crunchy nut butter ( I use either organic almond or peanut butter)

2 tbsp organic maple syrup

1/2 tsp sea salt

splash of vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Place the frozen bananas in a food processor, or blender on a low to medium speed, and chop a bit.
  2. Add cacao and nut butter to the blender.
  3. Finish processing the ice cream until creamy and smooth.
  4. To make a salted caramel sauce mix nut butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract and sea salt in a small sauce pan on medium heat until it smooth and bubbly.
  5. Serve ice cream with sauce immediately or put to the freezer until it solid. Then scoop, add caramel sauce and enjoy!
  6. Store ice-cream sealed in the freezer for a few weeks.

Mmm…we love it!

Enjoy it any season!
