We love to start our summer days with a nutritious smoothie. In my last post, I shared with you our favorite green smoothie recipes. Today I share more of our colorful breakfast options.
I
Purple Start
2 bananas
2 celery sticks (optional, but very healthy addition)
½ cup frozen or fresh blueberries( blackberry or blackcurrant)
Lemon juice to taste
1 cup water (plant milk)
Instructions: Blend all ingredients together
Another Purple Version
1 banana
1 cup of berries (frozen or fresh)
2-3 big soft dates
1 cup cashew milk (milk of your choice)
2 tbsp organic tahini
1 tsp grounded cardamom
Instructions: blend all ingredients together. Yum!

Pink Start
2 bananas (or 1 banana + ½ avocado)
1 cup frozen or fresh strawberries (raspberries)
½ almond milk (or another favorite milk)
Instructions: blend all ingredients together and voila!

Chocolate Start
2 bananas
5 dried apricots (soaked in hot water for a few minutes)
2 big dates (pitted)
2 tbsp cacao powder
1 cup almond milk
Pinch of sea salt
Instructions: blend all ingredients until smooth and enjoy!
For us, a smoothie for breakfast works. Green or berry is good for a regular day, chocolate – for a relaxing weekend). Somedays I can get creative and make a colorful smoothie bowl. Check out our pics on instagram.
If smoothie option doesn’t sound good enough for breakfast, just know that it works as a perfect energy boosting snack as well. Add a spoon of nut butter or a few spoons of oats to make it more fulfilling. Try, experiment and let me know what you think ;).
